My original booking was at the Takimoto Inn (now known as Adex Inn) which is the smaller sister inn of the famous Takimotokan. Due to sudden renovations, we were allocated rooms at the much bigger and luxurious Takimotokan. I'd known about the praises surrounding the hotel, but I wasn't aware of the reasons why until now. It was fabulous. Wonderful onsen. Delicious buffet. Excellent location. Beautiful interior and facilities. First, the onsen. I've visited the hot spring facility before as I had stayed at Takimoto Inn in 2019. There are many different types of hot spring to soak and relax in. The most recommended one is the sulphur onsen, which is guaranteed to make your skin as smooth as silk. The outdoors bath is amazing too and even more so if it happens to snow. Second, the dinner buffet. At only 4,400 yen per person, it was definitely value for money. Unlimited crab legs, sashimi, and ikura (salmon roe). The wagyu beef was absoutely delicious and all the desserts were delectable. My most favourite dessert would be the yuzu ice-cream. The only drawback was that you had to pay for drinks, though water was available for free. Third, the room. It was beautiful and warm. The beds were comfortable and everything seemed to be designed for the convenience and comfort of the guests using it.

This hotel is amazing. Fantastic facilities. The bed was really comfortable. There are lots of little touches and an amazing bathroom. It's right in town and the sister hotel to the huge luxurious one across the road, so as guests here, you could visit the Grand Bath there for free as often as you liked. Easy to walk everywhere. The room I had was really quiet. There is a great cafe on the ground floor. They make a really good ham and lettuce roll. The best is freshly baked and nice and crunchy. Unfortunately, the bakery section is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so no baked goods. This hotel also had its own onsen. I tried it out. Same water as that across the road. Relaxing and a pleasant temperature. Great washing facilities with quality products. I recommend trying this onsen as well as the Grand Bath.

The hotel is located in the middle of Noboribetsu Onsen, in front of the Dai-ichi Takimotokan ryokan. It was unfortunately pouring rain the day I arrived in the late morning, but I stayed in the Adex Inn café to do some work and they have a nice choice of snacks and drinks (it's also great for a light breakfast). When I could check in (it's a self check in but it's pretty easy to do so), I had access to the onsen facilities at the Dai-ichi Takimotokan which are absolutely incredible. The room was quite big, clean, comfortable and bright. It was western-style as well. They also have a sento inside the Adex Inn hotel but I didn't use it because I spent plenty of time in the onsens. It was a very nice place to stay at!

Short stroll from the bus terminal along a "shopping street". There are eateries and mini marts near the property. Self check-in and out are hassle free and quick. Staff are available to help if needed. Room is dated but of a decent size. One of the bigger room I experienced in Japan thus far. Bathroom on the other hand is pretty modern with a shower room. Wifi connection is good and room has adequate power outlet. The best part of all is the ability to use the grand bath of Takimotokan, just across the street. A great experience in the grand bath especially the outdoor bath.

It is very near to Hell’s Valley, about 5 mins walk away. I love the fact that we can use the onsen opposite adex inn at Dai-ichi Takimotokan. The onsen at takimotokan is huge with many different kinds of onsen, overlooking Hell’s Valley. I like the lobby at Adex inn with a cafe/bar, looks like they just renovated it, very modern and comfy. Food choices can be limited at night but it is conveniently located along the shopping street with convenience stores available. Buses are available too.
